A wide ivory wrap for a wedding day or an evening that deserves one. Milk white silk carries soft veins of bark brown and warm ochre, as if the fabric had been pressed against wet stone.
Made by nuno felting: fine merino wool is felted straight into silk, so the shawl stays light and slightly sheer while still holding warmth. Wide enough to cover the shoulders and arms completely, light enough to wear all evening without feeling it.
The colour is neutral and works with white, cream and champagne dresses, and afterwards with a plain coat.
For a bride who wants something made rather than bought.
Made to order. The photographs show a piece that has already found its owner. Yours is created for you in the same materials, colours and technique — close in spirit and palette, but never an exact copy: hand felting cannot be repeated identically, and that is precisely what makes every piece one of a kind.
Materials: merino wool, silk (including Margilan silk), silk fibres, viscose, eucalyptus viscose (Tencel), nettle fibre and decorative fibres.
Care: hand wash in warm water with a mild wool detergent. Do not wring. Dry flat. Avoid sharp temperature changes between washing and rinsing. May be ironed if needed, at the wool setting.
