Soft white with lilac and mauve drifting through it like ink in water. The darker veins gather low and thin out towards the top, so the shawl looks lighter at the shoulders and deeper along the fall.
Wide and long enough to wrap the shoulders completely, yet so thin that it moves with the slightest breeze — as the photographs show.
Made by nuno felting: fine merino wool is felted directly into silk, so the fabric stays light and soft while keeping the warmth of wool.
Made to order. The photographs show a piece that has already found its owner. Yours is created for you in the same materials, colours and technique — close in spirit and palette, but never an exact copy: hand felting cannot be repeated identically, and that is precisely what makes every piece one of a kind.
Materials: merino wool, silk (including Margilan silk), silk fibres, viscose, eucalyptus viscose (Tencel), nettle fibre and decorative fibres.
Care: hand wash in warm water with a mild wool detergent. Do not wring. Dry flat. Avoid sharp temperature changes between washing and rinsing. May be ironed if needed, at the wool setting.
